Jessica DeMers

DeMers began shaping her art career at the University of Finlandia, USA, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 2011. During her studies, she was recognized with numerous awards, grants, and scholarships, reflecting her dedication and talent. Her experiences teaching internationally deeply influenced her art, with hands and faces emerging as recurring motifs to convey powerful narratives. Beyond her personal artistry, DeMers has significantly impacted the art community as a gallery director, art educator, and active member of international art organizations. Her work has gained international recognition, being exhibited across three continents, solidifying her global presence. She is a storyteller whose artistic journey is imbued with a desire to empower and provoke her audience. With a deep empathy for the suffering of humanity, DeMers opens a portal to reveal the consequences of rising to meet the obstacles and challenges of being human. Currently, she is a resident artist at Kordin Business Incubation Centre (KBIC) through a collaboration between ARTZ ID and Malta Enterprise.
