Fear by Sergio Muscat

On Friday 6 March 2020 at 7: 30 pm, we will have next Philosophy Sharing talk by Sergio Muscat “FEAR”.

“Everything you’ve ever wanted is sitting on the other side of fear.” – George Addair

The subject of fear has always been of great interest to the artist Sergio Muscat, mostly due to its constant presence throughout his life, and his battle to overcome it, or at least become more aware of it. He approaches the subject through psychology, attempting to understand the reason why fear exists in the first place, through philosophy, trying to understand what we are afraid of, and through spirituality, trying to understand how to live a life devoid of (if ever possible) fear, and transition to a place where love becomes the dominant force in our life.

Sergio Muscat is, for lack of a better summary, curious about everything. He grew up in a family of doctors, teachers, musicians and photographers, and was always exposed to both science and art in equal proportions. He studied Computer Science, which in his mind seemed to blend both worlds together, and later discovered his passion for photography and art. He decided to further his studies through a Masters in Digital Art, which again, seemed to provide a good balance (something that seems to be important to him) between the two disciplines. When approaching subjects, similarly to his art, he always tries to break down barriers and push boundaries, something he believes is imposed through society and (mis-)education.
