Artmaking at Arthall with Joséphine A. Garibaldi and Paul Zmolek

We would like to invite you to Arthall next Friday 10 February at 7:30pm to share with you new works by American guest artists, Joséphine A. Garibaldi and Paul Zmolek. Artists in residence in Gozo for a short time, Garibaldi and Zmolek, founders of Callous Physical Theatre, will highlight work made while in residence in Gozo and in particular, within the subterranean secret spaces of Arthall: the ghost room and the shaft.
Join us for a fun evening at Arthall, sharing art, experimental audios, filmworks, stop motion animation and more.
The entrance is free.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Joséphine A. Garibaldi and Paul Zmolek are life and creative partners who create multi-genre collaborative work as Callous Physical Theatre, a regular ‘pick-up’ company of national and international collaborators. Their work is collaborative, transdisciplinary and polyvocal. They are in pursuit of work that is dialogical, providing a multiplicity of perspectives rather than a singular viewpoint. As such, they strive to create work that operates subcutaneously, beneath the surface and between the lines fluidly spanning across many topics and relevant issues. Their primary area is Performance, inclusive of dance, theatre and studio art. That written, their artistic research is not confined by discipline and is based in text, sound, movement, 2D & 3D visual art, ritual forms, real and virtual installations.
The event is facilitated through Spazju Kreattiv Artists’ Residency programme, in collaboration with the Valletta Design Cluster, the Ministry for Gozo, and Gozo Regional Council. This residency is supported by Arthall Gozo.
